World Parkinson’s Day

Parkinson’s disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease and affects 2 out of every 100 people over the age of 60

This disease is not easily diagnosed worldwide, especially among Arabs.

The main reason is the lack of awareness about this disease.

Many call the condition geriatric, but its high prevalence among younger patients proves otherwise .

Not only does this condition cause shaking, stiffness and difficulties walking, it also causes extreme fatigue, dribbling, etc.

To enhance awareness globally, especially in our Arab community, about this condition and new treatments, ‘Friends of Parkinson’s Emirates’ is organizing an electronic seminar and this is a unique opportunity to interact with world-famous Parkinson’s specialists and benefit from the experiences of other patients and their caregivers around the world.
