The Friends of Arthritis Patients Association, in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Sharjah Police General Command, organized , and Sharjah Sports Council and Fast Building Contracting Company , And with the participation of Dr. Dr. Taghrid Zuhdi Mohamed , President and Founder of the OFUQ ALSALAM ALDUWALI (OSD) Center in Dubai, as a member of the Association of Friends of Arthritis Patients, the tenth charity marathon on the 30th of April.
The marathon, which was carried out along the Al Mamzar Corniche, included four stages for four groups according to their ages and physical capabilities, where the first of them, with a distance of 10 km, was allocated to participants over 19 years old, while the age group of 16 years and over participated in the second stage, which had a distance of 5 km. As for the third stage, which has a distance of 2.5 km, it is designated for the age group of 8 years and over, and the last stage is 1 km, “Fun Walk”, and it is open to all ages of both sexes, the elderly, patients and families.
As part of its keenness to attract the largest number of participants, the association organized a marketing campaign for the marathon in the places affiliated to the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), represented by Al Majaz Front, Flag Island, Al Qasba, Heart of Sharjah and Maryam Island.
