The United Arab Emirates celebrates Emirati Women’s Day on August 28, in line with the directives of the President of the State, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, to extend the “Year of Sustainability” initiative to include the year 2024. The slogan of Emirati Women’s Day continues this year, “We share for tomorrow.”
Because August 28 is engraved in everyone’s memory, it is the same day on which the General Women’s Union was founded. This celebration comes as a result of the country’s wise leadership’s belief in the importance of the contributions of the nation’s daughters and their role in the development efforts and welfare of the country, and in appreciation and honor of what they have provided to support the country’s progress inside and outside the country.
