Within the activities of the summer camp “Our Summer is Happiness”, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Qasimia University, in cooperation with the ofuq alsalam alduwali Center in Dubai, organized a training workshop entitled “Community Readiness and First Aid” with the aim of providing participants with information, skills and modern methods in public safety, basic rules for first aid, raising students’ efficiency and providing them with the experiences and life skills necessary for the advancement of themselves and their communities, which will reflect positively on society
And presented by Dr. Aladdin Khatib and d. Taghrid Zuhdi Mohamed , The award nominee #Arab_Hope Head of the Center. The workshop dealt with several main axes, the most important of which are community preparedness in times of crisis, first aid, the importance of dealing with various accidents, observance of public safety rules when treating the injured, and taking the necessary measures for each injury case before the arrival of the specialized paramedics.
The trainers also talked about how to conduct first aid in a timely manner for various accidents, including dressing wounds, burns, fractures, bruises, bleeding, insect bites, poisoning cases, various respiratory diseases, and correcting mistakes resulting from some bad habits in dealing with various accidents at home, before transferring the injured to health centers or the nearest hospital.
The attendees expressed their happiness and satisfaction with these workshops, as the number of participants exceeded 150 students and administrators.
