Ofoq Al-Salam Al-duwali (OSD) Center, represented by the founder and president of the center, Dr. Taghrid Zuhdi Mohamed , in the United Arab Emirates, condemns and denounces the burning of a copy of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden, and calls for stopping the provocative measures, and its coincidence with the advent of Eid Al-Adha, which are holy days for the Islamic nation, as it is considered a provocative, unconsidered and unacceptable measure .
We stress that insulting the Qur’an is an unacceptable crime of racist incitement, and in no way is it related to the freedom of opinion, expression and belief that Western countries repeat on a daily basis. These hateful and repeated acts cannot be accepted with any justification, and they incite hatred, exclusion and racism.
Insisting on burning the Qur’an, tearing it up, and throwing its pages on the ground is not a matter of freedom of opinion. Rather, it is a crime against two billion Muslims , on this planet, and provoking the feelings of those who are jealous of their religion and their holy book, and they are in the millions, and kindling the fire of anger in their souls
