“What We Love for Our People” initiative was launched in Cairo the day before yesterday to distribute clothing to 1,246 Sudanese refugee families in Egypt after the war, in a number of residential neighborhoods in the Egyptian capital. The first batch of the food initiative was also distributed, under the auspices of the OFUQ ALSALAM ALDUWALI (OSD) Center, a member of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and Sustainable Development, and Aida Media Company in the Emirates, with the contribution of a number of families
Dr. Taghrid Zuhdi Mohamed, President of the OFUQ ALSALAM ALDUWALI (OSD) Center in Dubai, said in press statements that the initiative comes in partnership with media personality and Goodwill Ambassador Aida Al-Qamish, to establish the principles of peace and humanitarian values in line with the directives of the United Nations and in continuation of the efforts of the International Peace Horizons Center and the achievement of its humanitarian goals, and in confirmation of the principles on which the center is based in establishing the principles of peace, peacekeeping, volunteer work, and humanitarian values at the level of humanitarian work in many countries
Dr Taghrid Zuhdi Mohamed thanked the many families for their humanitarian contributions through supporting the initiative with clothes, to bring joy and happiness to the souls of orphans, and provide them and their families with them. She added, “We renew our thanks to the volunteers in Egypt, headed by Mrs. Noura Al-Maghribi, and her work team for their great and effective role in implementing our initiatives in Egypt, and overseeing the details of distributing them to those who deserve them
For her part, media personality and Goodwill Ambassador Aida Al-Qamish, CEO of Aida Media, expressed her pride in cooperating with the OFUQ ALSALAM ALDUWALI (OSD) Center, and said that the “What We Love for Our People” initiative aims to bring happiness to a precious segment of society, our people who fled their homes from the flames of war, and sought refuge in our sisterly neighbor, Egypt.
